Buzz Aldrin Portal to Science and Space Exploration App Reviews

There is a lot in this app to play with. If you have kids, they may not even know who Buzz Aldrin is outside of a multiple choice answer on a second grade history test. But us parents know who he is, and we love our heroes as much as the kids love theirs! This really is a good educational tool, and may even put a little spark of interest in space with the kids. Hey, space is cool! As a 40 year old kid, I have to say that there is a certain nostalgia involved for me when I use this app, but I also enjoy using it very much because it is thoughtfully planned and nicely done. Love the feed from NASA, love the pictures, love reading about the shuttle missions. Buzz Aldrin should be quite proud of this application. This app makes me want to go buy a telescope.

OS 4.0 not allowing video of live NASA TV ... Says format is not supported. If you want an app that does do NASA TV live try SpaceGeek - I got the developer to fix his issues and it works now.

Nice, but has so many links to online content its probably better for an iPad than my iPhone.

My son loves all things NASA. This App has tons of new and old photos and video and current info on a variety space exploration topics.

Why cant you save pictures? Astronomy picture of the day does it for free. 1.99 and I cant even save a Buzz picture.

For me, its just a little bit boring, but it does what it says it does unlike a lot of apps, and its worth $2 cause of that. Great app!

It has lots of news and interesting topics. A list of space mission is included. But why is the hexagonical cloud on Saturn under the myths section. It is not a myth.

These are real heros and role models. If we spent HALF of what we do on ways to kill humans in the space program, alot of our problems would be correctable.

This app is hardly updated by buzz aldrin and has dead links. You can do better just searching the Internet.

The problems with the app have been fixed. It again has the latest space news to include the private ventures.

This "app" is nothing but links to websites and a blog. There is no other functionality. The same thing could be accomplished with a website. Not worth the $2-$4.

A nice way to keep up with Buzz Aldrin, and learn about various space things! :-)

I love this app! It is a great way to get information about buzz and space. I kind of wish that it would have more interactive stuff like a simulation where you could make a rover and have it gather information about Mars or the moon. That would be cool. Also make it fit the newer and bigger screens. I have an iPhone 5 and the app does not take up the entire screen.
